The STA is a non-profit-making organisation dedicated to the promotion of technical analysis. The society is based in the United Kingdom (UK) and has 1,000 over members from 56 countries. The society’s main objective is to promote greater use and understanding of technical analysis as a vital investment tool. It aims to serve all members of the investment community – from professionals of the investment industry to interested members of the public.  The STA is one of the International Federation Of Technical Analyst (IFTA)-affiliated  societies and the STA’s Diploma of Technical Analysis is also an IFTA-accredited testing program. Currently there are only four member societies testing program (including STA) which are IFTA-accredited.
