PRIBUMI is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 and incorporated in Malaysia to represent the interest of the dealers’ representatives (DR) nationwide including Sabah and Sarawak. In the intervening years, the association has been recognized nationwide as amongst one of the outstanding accredited education provider and continuously provides useful information and resources to facilitate industry education in the interest of the DR fraternity as well as the public community. PRIBUMI provides opportunities to meet, communicate, coordinate and collaborate within the industry and its members are expected to operate with the highest level of ethics and honesty.
Global transformation and realities have consequently affected the capital market industry over time and we, therefore, need to be professionally endowed when confronting new challenges, thus, ongoing education and training for professional skill enhancement is imperative. In recognizing these changes, PRIBUMI has a continuous commitment to education within the industry and is dedicated to training the DRs and promoting the highest standards of professionalism for leadership roles. This commitment is expressed through two significant Funds, BTF (Bumiputra Training Fund) and BDREF (Bumiputra Dealers’ Representative Education Fund). In recognition of the importance of quality education, certification courses namely CFA and CFP are promoted under the RM5 million BDREF granted by the Government in 2003 which is administered by the Securities Commission.
Since accreditation as an education service provider by the Securities Commission in 2000, PRIBUMI has actively organized industry courses presented by expert industry speakers and practitioners and successfully trained 6000 participants in the country.
VISION PRIBUMI is a platform for the professional development and enhancement of the dealer representatives in Malaysia and to produce a core group of dynamic and exceptional individuals of tomorrow as well as successful entrepreneurs internationally who will impact the capital market industry with innovative approaches and wealth of ideas.
MISSION PRIBUMI’s primary focus is to enhance the professional value of the DRs and to increase their opportunities for success within the industry. It promotes and strengthens its members through education and training programs, certification courses and networking initiatives.
